“Entrepreneurs are not born, they are formed. Fiercely rooted in EDHEC’s entrepreneurial tradition, our programme empowers students to play a role in society by building on their own perspectives, backgrounds and identities. We believe that crafting a more desirable and inclusive world requires the innovation of genuine individuals rather than the actions of opportunists. We have designed our hands-on academic journey in such a way that innovation and entrepreneurship are not undertaken merely for the sake of it, but with a holistic understanding of the major issues of our times. The MSc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation is intertwined with the EDHEC Entrepreneurs community, which students join on day 1 of their programme. Our three incubators (Station F Paris and Jean Arnault, Lille and Nice) open up their start-ups and resources so that students can engage with and embrace the entrepreneurial ecosystem as soon as possible. Whether you aspire to create your own start-up, work in innovation or are committed to transforming society for the better, this programme will provide you with the latest intellectual and practical resources to act and flourish.”

You will take three of these 5 foundation courses in an online format in the July/August period. According to your background, the Selection Committee may require specific classes or you may choose three courses from this list.

The objective of this course is to provide you with a solid grounding in the principles and practice of finance and develop the understanding of the tools necessary to make good financial decisions. This module aims to provide knowledge and understanding of key management issues in corporate finance and in the market for financial assets.

This course is run as a combination of two modules: Basics in Statistics and Introduction to Coding with R through EDHEC’s Online Unit. We strongly recommend completing the modules in parallel, one week at a time.

This Basics in Statistics module presents the basic principles of statistical data analysis (description, estimation, testing), as well as the most common statistical methods such as linear regression.

The Introduction to Coding with R module

  • Introduces R, a standard and powerful programming language well suited for data analysis: its objects and its syntax
  • Presents Anaconda and RStudio, two user-friendly working environments for R
  • Presents selected built-in functions that perform common tasks.

The course is designed to provide you with an overview of the foundations of financial accounting with a practical focus on Financial statement analysis and the valuation of public organizations. These foundations are deemed necessary in order for students to successfully pursue the course of their studies at the Master's level.

The purpose of this course is to provide you with fundamental knowledge in Marketing, and to demonstrate the key role marketing takes within any organisation. You will gain a better understanding of what marketing is and what its role in the firm is, of the process of value creation from the perspective of customers, producers, and society at large. You will be know how to mix various marketing tools and techniques in a coherent manner.

This course’s primary objective is to help you answer several important strategic questions for companies or organizations, such as: What business shall we be in? How to compete for resources and create value? How to organize for and assess performance?... The course focuses on the complex and multidimensional nature of strategic decision-making.

You will gain a better understanding and framing of ethical issues related to business and economic questions. The course specifically focuses on domain-related issues, like ethical challenges in Strategy, Management, and Innovation.

Career and Talent Management have become critical components in the life of people and organizations. Organizations must be mindful of the changing workforce, including the evolving demands of employees and the new psychological contract. At the same time, employees must be mindful of changing organizations, including the demand for new and changing skills. You will learn about Career and Talent Management focusing on finding the best fit between people and organizations for today and tomorrow. Upon completion of the course, you will help organizations attract talent considering the evolving demands of employees, as well as motivate and retain these employees.

The aim of the 2 days seminar is to create a Start-Up from finding an idea to Pitching it. You will learn to develop your creativity in generating ideas. You will be able to identify, test, experiment with all the steps to launch a project and present it successfully.

Through this course, you will learn the fundamentals of marketing. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to create a consistent marketing plan within a global marketing strategy, identify and use relevant KPIs for the Marketing Plan elements and choose which channel is best for their project and analyze the results of the actions taken on each of them.

Because you will soon have the opportunity to manage projects and teams, and negotiate with stakeholders of your business, this course will familiarize you with the study and the practice of leadership and negotiation, i.e., the art and science of influencing and motivating people to actually realize the strategy you defined and hope to implement. You will have the opportunity to reflect on your personal leadership style and negotiation style and will learn tips and tricks on how to effectively lead and negotiate with others.

Globalization and Digitalization are drastically transforming the way companies innovate. To be competitive in such a context, firms need to be able to innovate better and faster, relying on recent open innovation approaches based on collaboration; customer-centricity, and agility. In this course, you will learn about key contemporary innovation management approaches and address a real innovation challenge in partnership with the EDHEC incubator located in Station F in Paris to develop your innovative skills and competencies.

Upon completion of this course, you will have all the skills and tools that will enable you to construct an investor’s pitch, create the set of documents that supports the pitch and deliver the pitch orally with success and impact.

Knowledge is facing various phenomenon which tends to threaten rationality: fake news, conspiracy theories, pseudo-experts questioning of science, etc. In addition to this, we are conscious now that the human brain is confronted with cognitive biases, and noise (Kahneman, Sibony, & Sunstein, 2021). Therefore, decision-makers must increase their vigilance, especially in critical times such as a pandemic. Wrong information can lead to wrong action with serious consequences. Future managers and entrepreneurs should learn how to rely on research, understood as the systematic investigation of reality to establish facts and reach new conclusions. The business research process is a sequential process based on scientific methods and allows future managers to understand, evaluate as well as conduct research to improve managerial decision-making. Upon completion, you will learn to apply the principles of business research to evaluate and design business research projects and to their Master's thesis and question reality in the most rigorous and objective way to make it meaningful.

You will gain experience and develop your knowledge in entrepreneurship and innovation into practical skills. In this Coaching course, you will learn and apply tools and techniques to discover problems and needs and to develop matching viable business models. You will learn to pitch ideas and business models and apply your skills in practice in diverse settings. You will demonstrate your leadership and project management skills.

Thoughtful understanding of the complexity of the relationship between business and sustainability requires a foundational understanding of critical technical concepts and trends at the intersection of both. Business is the engine that drives global economic growth and innovation. However, "business as usual" has reached dangerous levels of consumption and resource scarcity which could produce an unsustainable future. Through in-depth analysis of contemporary real business cases and a sustainable innovation pitch as a final project, you will be prepared to be managers and leaders of businesses who can take bold, practical actions that benefit people, the planet, and the bottom line in the competitive global economy. Upon completion of the course, you will understand the complex relationships between business, science, and policy and identify opportunities to forge partnerships involving business, government, and not-for-profit organizations, and apply all concepts learned to make an effective written and oral assessment of a complex issue at the intersection of entrepreneurship and sustainability.

No venture subsists without financing. In the first part of this course, you will learn how to build credible, evidence-based & convincing Financial Projections and derive from them an estimate of their financial needs with a clear view of the risks associated to this prediction. The second part of this course, you will learn how to define the Financing Strategy needed to fulfill these needs: I.e. valuing your enterprise, deciding when and with which available Financing vehicles to finance the venture, and negotiating a deal suiting your strategy & your capital structure objectives. Upon completion of the course, you will learn to build and monitor credible Financial Projections based upon a solid Business Model applied in an integrated 3 Statements Financial Model, make informed decisions on financing choices in relation to a strategic issue and understand how capital providers assess risks, value young ventures, and negotiate deals.

When growing from concept to delivery, small and entrepreneurial firms often realize that they must quickly master multiple operational topics to begin delivery and scale up their venture. One of the main reasons why new ventures fail is the operational aspect wherein the entrepreneur fails to manage the details of running the business in an effective, efficient, and efficacious manner. This course explores the key issues associated with the design and management of supply chains and operations in a small firm/ entrepreneurial firm context and makes students apply them to their own project. Upon completion of the course, you will learn how to apply quantitative and qualitative problem-solving techniques to the management of operations.

Family-owned and -run businesses dominate in most economies. According to the latest figures, around 83 percent of French businesses are family businesses. Similarly, worldwide family businesses account for around 70 to 90 percent of all businesses. In the US, family businesses constitute 85 percent of private-sector employment and one-third of the S&P 500. The probability is high that many students will pursue careers in or with family businesses. Jobs in investment banking, wealth management, consulting, and management all relate to some extent to family businesses. However, few understand this special type of business as family firms (both private and publicly traded) face unique challenges. These difficulties are primarily related to the interaction of family, management, and ownership - particularly where the family wishes to preserve its influence and control from generation to generation. The course aims therefore to familiarize students with the notion of a family business and its challenges, as well as to provide more specific exposure to family firms in France and worldwide.

Upon completion of the certification, you will be able to assess the impact of legal risks in terms of value destruction and identify the major legal risks your company is facing.

No additional document is required apart from scholarships marked with a *.

Again, the ISO is on hand to provide you with a list of apartments, halls of residence and other types of housing, depending on your criteria. You can even "visit" them virtually on our new housing website. The team will do everything it can to make arrangements with the property owner and secure your booking. It can also pick you up from the airport on the day of your arrival (where possible) and take you directly to your new home.
