Programme Insights

[EDHEC MSc in Marketing Analytics. 4-day event in partnership with Microsoft]

  • 2-day Hackathon "How to best implement Microsoft 365 CRM solution"
  • 1-day training session
  • 1-day MB.910 Fundamentals certifications by Microsoft

Speaker: Etienne Denis. MSc in Marketing Analytics Programme Director.

Why a partnership between EDHEC and Microsoft and why is that relevant?
I think that Microsoft, it speaks for itself.
It's an international brand and it's a great brand I think it's the dream partner for any business school. It's a dream to have them on board in the first year of this MSc. It's highly relevant because it gives a lot of opportunity to the students and they put their hands on the technical aspects which, really, I think differentiate us from other programmes.

Speaker: Monica Prieto Langard. Alumni (1998) and Digital Transformation Senior Tech Specialist at Microsoft.

Digital innovations has totally transformed in fact all business models or organisations with data being the driver to rebuild customer relationships, employee relationships, Human relationships. So big data is the big deal.

Speaker: Beatrice Matlega. Director of partnerships and skills programmes in education at Microsoft.

EDHEC students will be the future business decision-makers, the future leaders in all industry. So it's very important for them to understand the concept of the new technology for instance AI cyber security sustainability and be able to use the new technology. For instance take advantage of their benefits so it's very important to work with EDHEC in order to upskill the students and to connect with the needs in companies and industries based on new technologies.

[Students had to pitch how to best implement the Microsoft CRM in a case study]

Speakers: Winning teams of the Hackathon.

I think that there are three main outputs that we can take from this experience. the first one is time management because it was not easy to do it in only 24 hours but we managed to do it so we can be proud of us.

The second thing is to do a pitch because we had to learn how to talk to a client, to think about a client and use the word that he can easily understand and the last output that I can say is discovering the platform, because we also truly think that is a great tool that can help the activities of the company on a daily basis.

I think winning a Microsoft certification is a real opportunity for us to put on our own resume because I think it will make the difference in our career
and also to the recruitment process that we are in. So yeah, it will make the difference and it will prove our competencies.
So thanks Microsoft I would say!
