EDHEC MSc in Marketing Management programme and Groupe SEB Corporate Programme Sponsorship agreement was signed in 2014.  

By sponsoring the MSc in Marketing Management programme, Groupe SEB participates in the programme’s content and tuition. This course has two related objectives. The first is to broaden your sensitivity to different cultural, socio-economic and legal environments encountered in the global marketplace. The second is to increase your skills in developing and implementing international marketing strategies and programs in diverse contexts. You will learn how to appreciate the external and firm factors that shape the global marketing manager’s job; how to evaluate when and how firms should use different market entry strategies; when and how to standardize or adapt marketing programs in different global markets.

Linking marketing and innovation is the new top discipline in business schools nowadays. This course will unleash your creative skills by learning the last marketing and innovation techniques linked with clearly defined consumer insights. Placing the customer at the very center is one of the key mantras of this Duofold approach. This course will describe in depth of the ways to succeed: how to apply Design Thinking technique.

COURSE SPONSOR: DAMARTEX / Established in 1953, Damartex is one of the major European retailers for seniors (55+ segment). Its channels of distribution are catalogs, websites, shops, and BtoB wholesales, and its main markets are France, the UK, Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland.

The purpose of this course is to get an overview of the major panel techniques and data used in business: how they are built, how to read and interpret them, how to use them to improve your performance. Panel data are core to pilot a business and have three major sources: retailers, consumers and media, both traditional and online/social.  The combination of these data enables manufacturers/advertisers/brands to get a unique competitive view of their performance and hints how to improve it.

This course helps students understand what brands are, what they represent to consumers, and how firms can most effectively communicate on them. It emphasizes the importance of planned, integrated communication for brands in marketing strategies in a variety of contexts. The course equips students with applicable tools to implement brand and communication strategies.

This course introduces methodological knowledge and skills concerning collection, analysis, and application of qualitative and quantitative data in marketing and consumer research. It also guides you with your master project writing.

The course provides a framework for diagnosing and managing the core levers available for effective selling in any organization. It equips students with knowledge and tools to move from concepts to action and build a sales strategy adapted to the company's goals.

♦  Luxury Strategy & Innovation

The objective of this course is to raise awareness to the specificities of doing business in the luxury sector and managing luxury brands: develop your “luxury thinking”. It also exposes and debates luxury business models to sustain luxury brands; identifies the main challenges facing luxury brands and assess the macro trends in the industry to encourage you to manage luxury innovation respecting luxury branding principles and cultural specificities.

♦  Global Luxury Operations

This course enables you to learn how luxury operational elements support marketing and branding strategies.

You will take part of several company challenges which develops your understanding of international brand management and operations through hands-on application to a global brand; engages you in creative thinking and problem solving through immersion in a business situation within a global context; and allows you to work on a collaborative project with a team spirit to win a competition.

♦  CRM for Luxury

In this course, you will learn strategies for customer management. You will gain a solid understanding of customer relationship management, including both strategic and analytic approaches. The course will provide you with tools that are critical in today’s business environment, as leading firms focus their marketing efforts on understanding the value of their customers and developing and growing profitable customer relationships. The course will also teach you skills related to customer selection and acquisition, customer management, managing the customer experience, customer retention and customer lifetime value.

♦  Digital Marketing for Luxury

This course introduces digital marketing and e-commerce key concepts; allows students to acquire an understanding of ergonomy of an e-commerce website. It also develops students’ sensitivity regarding search engine optimization and search engine marketing; discusses social media optimization, social media marketing, cross media advertising etc. The above concepts are applied to the luxury sector (examples, cases)industry to encourage you to manage luxury innovation respecting luxury branding principles and cultural specificities.

Concentration in Entertainment & Services

♦  Entertainment Marketing

If you are a passionate moviegoer, museum lover, hard or soft core gamer, sport fan, you will learn how these industries implement their marketing. The course philosophy is industry specific. It introduces issues related to recreational activities and it emphasizes the changing patterns of leisure time and their consequences on consumer behavior.

♦  Services Marketing

Services constitute approximately 73 % of the European economy and are an integral part of consumers’ daily lives. Examples are numerous: interactions with retailers, financial institutions, telecommunication companies, government services, healthcare providers, etc. As such, many people are employed in the service industry. Interestingly, the importance of services also holds for manufacturing firms. Management in these industries increasingly realizes that in order to survive and achieve competitive advantage, excellence in service will be a decisive criterion (e.g. computer and car industry). The objectives of this course are to understand how a service mindset is different from and exceeds traditional product- oriented thinking. In particular, you will learn to implement quality service and service strategies for competitive advantage across industries.

Whatever concentration you choose, you will participate in a four-day study tour. Students in Luxury & Fashion will travel to Grasse, a town in the South of France renowned for its perfumes. Students in Entertainment & Services will travel to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria and a new leading location for the European film industry. By the end of your study trip, you will have gained first-hand insights into the value chain of the perfume or film-production industry.

The EDHEC Career Centre is a one-stop-shop for career development. It offers an integrated career programme designed for you to define and achieve your career goals: the Talent Identification & Career Development (TI&CD) programme.

Fine-tune your career plan. The Career Centre helps you design your job-search strategy and assess your recent work experience and managerial competencies. The TI&CD programme, unique in Europe, evaluates and assesses your strengths and areas of improvement based on 8 managerial competencies defined by international recruiters. The TI&CD is a real career booster enabling EDHEC students to assess and hone their managerial competencies to be particularly efficient in their first job.

The MSc in Marketing Management is a Master level qualification (Bac+5). This degree is jointly awarded by the French State under the title “Programme supérieur en management du marketing” which confers the Grade Master

We are looking for intellectual talent with a history of achieving high-level goals.

Admission to the EDHEC Master programmes is highly selective. Normal entrance requirements include: a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited school, college, or university; academic excellence; superior scholastic potential (certified by GMAT, GRE, Tage Mage or CAT scores); and English language proficiency. Admission decisions are made on the basis of your overall profile as reflected in the application pack.

Successful  candidates come from a wide range of education backgrounds and experiences. They also display distinguished academic excellence, strong analytical skills, interpersonal competencies, international awareness, have proven motivation to undertake the programme, the capacity to make significant contributions to EDHEC Business School’s learning environment, and the potential to succeed as professionals, managers and leaders in the related field of study. The Selection Committee relies heavily on profiles, motivation letters, recommendation letters, and CVs.

EDHEC offers various scholarships & financial aids based on merit and financial need of the student. The French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs also offers a large number of grants and scholarships. Lastly, students accepted to EDHEC are entitled to apply for private loans to cover the cost of their tuition fees.

The EIFFEL Scholarship offers financial support to high-achieving international candidates. It awards about €1200 per month. The scholarship is financed and managed by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development

What are the deadlines to apply for the programmes?

Do you accept scanned documents?

  • Yes, you can make scanned colour copies of the documents required.

Should the application file and the two recommendation letters be typed or written freehand?

  • Recommendation letters: our templates can be used or written freehand.

Will the International Admissions’ team contact the referees to send the letters of recommendation?

  • No, referees should email their letters of recommendation directly to international.admissions@edhec.edu using their professional email. Emails from personal accounts such as yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc. will not be accepted.

Will my referees receive an automatic confirmation when they send the letters by email?

  • No, no automatic email will be sent to your referees. Please inform them that they should expect to receive an email confirmation later from the Admissions’ team.
  • Please note that you will be copied to this email as well to acknowledge the well reception of the letters of recommendation.

Will I have an interview with the Programme Manager?

  • There is no direct interview with the Programme Manager for students applying for our MIM or MSc programmes unless the Programme Director thinks it is necessary.

Can I apply for more than one programme?

  • It is possible to apply for two programmes.  A separate motivation letter is required for each programme.

What is the difference between the MIM and MSc?

  • The EDHEC Master in Management is a 2-year programme designed for students under 29 seeking to increase their general management skills. Also known as "Grande Ecole", the programme awards students a double degree: Year 1: Master in Management degree and Year 2: Master of Science degree
  • Our MSc are specialised programmes accessible to students who wish to acquire a new knowledge in a specific field or further strengthen their existing expertise.

Is there any help for students on campus regarding housing?

  • Once officially enrolled, you will be assisted to find a suitable accommodation either in the EDHEC residence or in privately owned flats. EDHEC's International Office is familiar with the VISA formalities of most countries and will provide you with the necessary papers. You may contact the International Office to express your concerns about your visa application, provided you have already checked the necessary pages on the Welcome Guide and contacted your local Embassay first. One of the requirements for most VISA applications is proof of accommodation in France. Again the international Office is on hand to provide you with a list of apartments, halls of residence and other types of housing according to your criteria. You can even "visit" them virtually using our new Housing website. The team will do everything they can to make arrangements with the owner and secure your reservation. It will also pick you up from the airport on your day of arrival (when possible) and take you directly to your new home.

Is GMAT compulsory?

  • The GMAT test is compulsory for most of EDHEC Master programmes. Please check the “Admissions Requirements” of your programme of interest to confirm whether the exam is required.

Why is GMAT compulsory for most of our programmes?

  • EDHEC is accredited EQUIS, AASCSB and AMBA. We are obliged to maintain high quality among students and the GMAT is a good measure of this quality.

Can I add an unofficial GMAT score report to my application file?

  • You will get an unofficial score report immediately after the test and which you should send to the admissions office. This document will provisionally be accepted in your application file.

 

EDHEC offers scholarships and financial aid to candidates with excellent profiles. External financial aid is also available to EDHEC applicants.

What is the EIFFEL Scholarship?

  • The EIFFEL Scholarship programme offers financial support to high-potential candidates of over € 1000 per month. Applications for the EIFFEL Scholarship need to be submitted to EDHEC before December 1st.


When the tuition fees must be paid?

  • Once accepted by the Selection Committee, you will receive by email a tuition fees payment's schedule. You must make your first payment in order to secure your seat into the programme and get your enrolment letter.

How does the financial aid apply to the tuition fees?

  • Financial aid applies to the second and third instalment for the MSc programme and to the second, third and fourth instalment for the MIM programme.

 

What is the EDHEC Career Center?

  • The Student Career Centre is dedicated to help students find a job or an internship. The Centre receives every year over 14 000 job and internship offers.

Complementary courses in French are offered to all international students enrolled in our MSc programmes. Our French classes cover all learning levels, from complete beginner to advanced study. The goal is to support your acculturation to French culture and give you the linguistic foundation—grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing and listening—to express yourself in the French language.
