In today’s fast-paced and complex business environment, organisations are undergoing constant organisational transformations.  In this course, you will learn how to successfully manage change and how change management consultants can help organisations to make change stick.

Artificial Intelligence is one of the most disruptive technologies. This course will help you understand the key concepts of Artificial Intelligence and its potential from a managerial point of view. You will work in teams to deliver an analysis on a preassigned topic. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to identify the ethical challenges and risks of incorporating AI in a corporate strategy and articulate recommendations to create value in specific industries.

This course enables you to develop sustainable business models and acquire the tools to make sense of the robustness of business models. You will learn to address the consultancy process, by discovering how to answer the following key questions: how to grasp a business situation from a strategic perspective? How to deal with a strategic analysis in the appropriate way? How to identify key strategic business issues? How to structure recommendations and a strategic line? How to go from strategy to business modelling? How to design a sustainable business model? How to diagnose a business model potential? How to make an appropriate oral presentation on strategy and business model topics?

Despite their promises and increasing popularity, M&A and Strategic alliances are not without risks and shortcomings. This course enables you to analyse in depth these two growth strategies and compare their merits vs. demerits.  You will learn to apply quantitative and qualitative analytical tools to foster your own ability and strategic thinking skills. This course will help you to pursue careers as managers, entrepreneurs or consultants.

The course provides an overview of financial accounting concepts and practices, including a firm’s balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement and disclosure notes. You will learn how to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and financial accounting data to make informed business decisions.

This course helps you master the techniques that were developed by McKinsey, BCG and Bain and are systematically used by their consultants in their client engagements. These include pyramid thinking applied to both problem-solving and communication, quantitative techniques used in analysis, an ability to build upon ever-changing working hypotheses and to apply the Pareto principle to all aspects of the consulting work.

In a world that is constantly changing, managing change is a central concern for today’s managers and consultants. Yet, according to management experts, 70% of all change initiatives fail for numerous reasons such as internal resistance and distrust, difficulties in aligning the new strategic direction with extant capabilities of the firm and a lack of vision. This course enables you to examine personal and organizational approaches to dealing with change based on case studies and group activities.

How to diagnose a company’s operating performance? How to leverage the key value drivers? How to design value-creating investment, financing or distribution strategies? How to generate external growth inside the company and structure a buyout? These questions will be addressed in the advanced corporate finance course. You will learn to design sound financial strategies (i.e. regarding capital structure and dividend policy) consistent with market (investors and stakeholders) expectations and consistent with the company’s investment policy.

Information Technology (IT) has become an essential resource for exchange and collaboration within and between firms.  Perceived as a valuable strategic weapon rather than a mere functional tool supporting business processes, IT creates new challenges. It is therefore necessary to acquire the capabilities that will allow you to understand the steps and the challenges that accompany the development of IT Strategy for companies.

The aim of this course is to provide you with a good understanding of first-principles-based, insight-driven and structured approaches to management problem solving typically encountered in strategy consultancy-type situations. The course is particularly geared towards helping you set up and get started on your Master Project.

Once the basics, you have acquired the basics, this course will give you a comprehensive skill set to bring Excel use at a higher level, including a basis in VBA programming. Upon completion of the course, you will be able to design and use dynamic pictures, controls, hyperlinks, names, and powerful formulas to enter text and resolve repetitive tasks or data management challenges using macro recording and basic VBA procedures.

This course will introduce you to the principles of operation management and how to balance strategic thinking and practical planning to achieve competitive success. You will learn about core topics within the operations management field including process design and capacity, inventory management, supply chain management, and lean management. The course focuses on the relationship between operations and financial management from an industry perspective.

This course will provide you with a better understanding and framing of ethical issues related to business and economic questions. It specifically focuses on domain-related issues, like ethical challenges in consulting, strategy and finance.

Concentration in Strategy Definition & Competitive Intelligence

The academic architecture of the concentration is in line with the capabilities needed to assist organisations in collecting meaningful data to predict and influence the future. It provides students with knowledge and skills enabling them to address multi-functional business cases and corporate challenges.

The course will introduce you to the reality and mechanics of economic war in 2020. Starting with the basics of defining a vision and a strategy, you will learn about all the modern technics used in today’s global competition: competitive intelligence, campaigns of destabilization, the weaponization of regulations, turning legal constraints (compliance) into efficient protection. You will participate in a group project. Upon completion of the course, you will be able to perform a strategic analysis using a given set of approaches and define a multi-dimensional strategy leveraging all the modern tools of economic war at present times.

Use competitive strategy tools for decision-making. Refine and extend strategy in the fields of product offering, strategic price and distribution. Reflect upon strategic choices and adjust them.

Far from being exotic nor trivial, economic crime has become strategic for top managers, since it can impact any company in all of its dimensions: revenues, brand, IP, assets, products, resources, strategy, governance, and of course people. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to detect the exposure of a company to economic crime, and especially to financial crime, fraud, corruption and cybercrime and to identify the efficient risk management solutions to be mobilized by companies exposed to economic crime.
