I live in a kot. It is 8 rooms clustered together with a common kitchen. I was skeptical about choosing campus residence but my experience here has proved otherwise. The advantage of living in a kot is that you will meet a lot of new people who are enrolled in other programmes as well. I’ve got a lot of friends here. Another advantage is that the kitchen is really spacious and is separated from your living room. The residence is truly international and diverse. The cleaning ladies come once a week to clean the common areas. We are also given 2 free room cleaning passes per month which is more than enough. We have free Wifi access too. The Residence Manager JC is very caring and much like a brother to everyone here. Any disputes directly go through him and he is quick to respond. EDHEC study buildings are just 100 meters from the Campus Residence which is great because one doesn’t have to walk a lot, especially during winters. This option also comes ‘Handy’ when we have morning classes (yes, I’m lazy). Campus Residence is also the safest option since we have 24/7 surveillance. No one from outside can enter without permission. One can always roam around the campus safely and the view is absolutely stunning, especially during the spring and the summer with all those flowers blooming up. As someone who is always passionate about photography, I can find countless beautiful frames inside this vast campus. EDHEC Campus is home for at least a dozen species of birds, many insect varieties including honeybees, many flower varieties, etc.”
